meet Natasha Nyabereka
I decided to join #TEAMBASS based on the promise of wide client industry exposure and hands-on contact with clients. I stayed because they delivered on their promises and more. Interacting directly with clients provided me the opportunity to explore the different industries in which I may want to become a part of as an aspiring CA(SA). Furthermore, the team engagements have allowed me to build friendships beyond office hours and a great support structure.

meet Ankia Ackermann
To me it was important to find a training office that champions values that are close to my own. Not only did I find that at #TEAMBASS; I found an environment where investment in skills development is a priority, management is actively involved in your growth as a trainee and the Partners’ open-door policy really is an open-door policy. I can’t imagine doing articles anywhere else.

Recruitment Coordinator
Hi, I am Bianca.
I joined #TeamBass at the beginning of 2023. I have a passion for people, hence why I studied BCom Industrial Psychology. I love working with people and helping them to grow into the professional they want to be. I am driven by the challenge to recruit and secure top talent for MGI Bass Gordon. It will be an honour to see trainees through from student to CA(SA).
I believe as Talent and Culture Coordinator I have the best of both worlds. I am actively involved in recruitment, while also planning and organising events for MGI Bass Gordon. I am proud to be a part of a team of like-minded professionals, who cares for one another.
ON A PERSONAL NOTE:
I was born and raised in Pretoria and went to study at Stellenbosch University. I was hooked and fell in love with the Western Cape. Therefore, I decided Cape Town is where I want to settle down. Exercising keeps me sane, and I try to be active every day. I would rather spend money on travelling than on anything else. Fun fact, I lived in Alaska for half a year. Spending time with family and friends, and obviously my dog, are my number one priority.
Q & A WITH Bianca
Coffee order: Skinny Cappuccino with one sweetener.

Talent Development & Communications Officer
Hi, I’m Nadine.
I joined the team in the beginning of 2022, however, I was no stranger to MGI Bass Gordon – I worked for them previously back in 2012 before deciding to go travel and work abroad. I landed up in Dubai without much of a plan – “Let’s see what happens” was my plan. I ended up staying for 6.5 years – during this time I was able to progress in my career and go on many awesome adventures.
While I have a BComm Management Accounting degree from the University of Stellenbosch I always knew my career was not going to be numbers-focused. In fact, the majority of my career has actually been spent working in Human Resources. What I love about my role at MGI Bass Gordon is that I still do the fun part of HR (Recruitment), I get to explore my creativite side (Communications) and no day is ever the same. The firm really cares for its people and I really appreciate that .
ON A PERSONAL NOTE:
I’m originally from Pretoria but we moved to Cape Town when I was 12 and so I consider myself Capetonian. I am curious about the world – I have lived abroad in the UK, Spain and the United Arab Emirates – I would say my favourite country is Spain.
Q & A WITH Nadine
Coffee order:: Latte and I love Red Cappuccinos
