Petrus joined Gross Hendler & Frank in 2002 which later merged with MGI Bass Gordon in 2010. He is an essential member of the team, with a particular focus on tax compliance and tax consulting. Before joining the firm, Petrus worked for 6 years in tax compliance at the South African Revenue Service in Cape Town and also completed his Bachelor’s degree at the University of Stellenbosch. He has, in addition to this degree, obtained his Certificate in Taxation, Advanced Certificate in Taxation and Higher Diploma in Tax in order to acquire a deeper understanding and appreciation of tax. Petrus is also registered as a Master’s Tax Practitioner with the South African Institute of Tax Practitioners.
Nini is a born and bred Capetonian and attended the University of Cape Town where she completed a Bachelor of Science degree, majoring in Chemistry. After completing her teaching diploma, she taught Mathematics and Physical Science for 17 years. Feeling the need to embark on a new challenge, she completed her B Compt (Hons) through the University of South Africa (UNISA) and completed her articles at Gross Hendler & Frank. The firm subsequently merged with MGI Bass Gordon in 2010. Since then she has been and continues to be responsible for the supervision and management of a wide ranging portfolio of audit clients.
When not at work, she enjoys travelling and has travelled extensively throughout Europe. Being an eternal student, she believes life is a living classroom and enjoys the discovery and challenge that new ventures bring.
Erica graduated from the University of Stellenbosch in 2003 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and registered as a Chartered Accountant (SA) in 2008. Having completed her articles at RSM Betty & Dickson in Cape Town, Erica worked as an audit senior at PWC Bermuda for 2 years before joining MGI Bass Gordon in 2011.
As the Family Office Manager, Erica manages a portfolio of local and international clients, providing invaluable professional consulting services to these entrepreneurs, their businesses and their family affairs.
Kerryn studied at the University of Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, where she obtained her Bachelor of Accounting Science degree in 2012 and Bachelor of Accounting Science Honours degree in 2013. Kerryn completed her articles at EY in Sandton, Johannesburg in 2016 before moving to Cape Town as an Audit Supervisor in 2017 and promoted to Audit Manager in 2019.
Kerryn is passionate about working with people and enjoys the teaming and training aspects that come with working in an ever changing and challenging industry. Outside of work, Kerryn is an avid sports fan. She plays hockey and enjoys running with her dog to keep fit and healthy and maintain a good work-life balance.
Preshakt studied at the University of Kwazulu Natal, where he obtained his Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting degree. Preshakt completed his articles at PWC in Pietermaritzburg and registered as a Chartered Accountant (SA) in 2015.
After qualifying, Preshakt worked as an Audit Senior for Ernst & Young in Dublin and Ireland and PWC Jersey in the Channel Islands, where he gained experience across an array of Financial Reporting Frameworks and Industries. In 2018 he joined the MGI Bass Gordon management team as an Audit Manager.
Preshakt is responsible for the management and supervision of a portfolio of clients at MGI Bass Gordon. He enjoys coaching and mentoring junior staff members and is a firm advocate of continuous self-improvement.
Yasmin joined a prominent audit and accounting firm in Cape Town in 2002 to commence her traineeship whilst she completed her Bachelor of Accounting Science degree through the University of South Africa (UNISA). After relocating to Johannesburg, Yasmin later returned to Cape Town and joined Gross Hendler & Frank where she has become an integral part of the team. This firm subsequently merged with MGI Bass Gordon in 2010.
Yasmin manages and supervises the accounting services department. She is also responsible for assisting with various other services, including accounting, auditing, consulting and taxation. She regularly assists and advises clients on improving their accounting and management processes.
Catherine studied at University of Pretoria, where she obtained her Bachelor of Accounting degree in 2010 and Bachelor of Accounting Honours degree in 2011. She is registered as a Chartered Accountant (SA). Catherine completed her articles at a Big Four firm in 2014 where she stayed on as assistant audit manager, promoted to audit manager in 2015. She moved to Cape Town in 2017 and joined MGI Bass Gordon as an audit manager.
Catherine has been registered by The South African Institute of Chartered Accountants as a Registered Assessor effective from 29 September 2017.
She is responsible for the management and supervision of a wide range portfolio of audit engagements at MGI Bass Gordon.
