I was schooled in Cape Town, where after I attended UCT to study Business Science Finance. After qualifying and obtaining my PGDA, I did my articles at the one of the Big 4 audit firms from 1992-1994, where I specialised in Financial Services entities. After my training contract I served as financial manager for various manufacturing and retail entities in commerce and returned to the profession in 1999. I obtained an honour’s degree in Taxation in 2000 and became a partner in the firm in 2002.In addition to audit, I head up our corporate finance division and have been involved in many mergers and acquisitions. I am 41 years old, have a wife and 2 young boys. When I am not at work or spending time with my family, I am mountain biking in Tokai, Table Mountain or anywhere else in the Winelands.
